Jennifer Cosner - Instructor

Mrs. Jenny has been dancing for over 30 years. She started assistant teaching at the age 12 and fell in love with teaching. Over the years she has studied many forms of dance such as, but not limited to, Ballet, Technique, Pointe, Contortion, Acrobatics, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Production, Cecchetti, Contemporary Pointe, Partner work & Lifts, Musical Theater and many more from world renowned and superior educators in Florida, Alabama, Pennsylvania and Texas. She has also trained in Drama, Theater & Stage Performance, Lighting & Sound, Singing (and belonged to a competitive vocal ensemble group), and also Modeling (and was selected to travel the U.S. with an agency). She was hired frequently to pose for dance photos for professional photographers and by artists as moving art at art galleries. She was selected to attend Cypress Lake High School Center of the Arts for dancing. Competitive dance is something she has always enjoyed since the age of 6, traveling the U.S. throughout her years bringing home many titles and overalls as a soloist and as a part of many dance teams throughout her youth. During her travels and studies she has taken countless master classes, workshops and conventions from many professional performers such as Frank Hatchet, Radio City Rockettes, and the cast from Cats on Broadway. She has completed many seminars and training in the dance and theater performance world like Walt Disney World of Arts specializing in show business and performance magic and was given the opportunity to become a performing cast member in Orlando FL. Mrs. Jenny owned and solely taught classes at her own successful performance center for over 10 years and became known for her exceptional contortion training and clean technique training in the dance circuit. Her students have had many accomplishments like being sought after by professional photographers and their photos used for advertising due to clean technique and artistry; they have also been featured in competition and convention websites and calendars and have won countless scholarships. Some have gone on to pursue successful careers in dancing being accepted into prestigious schools all over the U.S. including Point Park University for the Arts. As a teacher and competitive team director she has won awards such as Choreography Perfection, Staging, Creative Ideas, Legs for Daze, Prop Use, Creative Characters, Costumes, Artistry, Flawless Technique, Partner Work, Contortion Creations and more. She was chosen to be the representative for dance education through Washington County PA library systems running workshops and intensives for the state. She has run talent shows for elementary centers, dance training for Montessori school systems and High Schools for the PA school system cleaning baton, band and dance team performances. Mrs. Jenny has worked hand in hand with hospitals, sports medicine staff and physical therapists to assist children to gain range of movement and coordination. She was chosen to instruct the senior Olympics program and judged the art and talent division for the Olympic Games for the county in Pittsburgh, PA. She has also judged the dance and talent divisions of many pageants over the years. Mrs. Jenny has had the privilege to teach with many competitive cheer and gymnastics center's working together to produce well-rounded students. She has always had a love for teaching and took courses receiving certificates in early childhood gross and fine motor skills education and in many forms of dance over her years of study. In all she was blessed to teach professionally at many dance, gymnastics, art and performance centers with 32 years of endless study and 20 years of teaching because she believes in always growing in the education of dance and the arts, you are never done learning and creating. 

Outside of dance her passion is creating art - her pieces have been chosen to hang or display in places like airports, galleries & schools, she has won numerous awards for her artwork. She also has a heart for animals as she has spent years volunteering at animal rescues and veterinary offices caring for animals of all sorts. She has a love for the ocean and was accepted into an aquatics program and spent many summers studying marine biology and doing hands on work with manatees like bottle feeding the orphaned calves and caring for the injured adult manatees in their rehabilitation sanctuary at SeaWorld Orlando. Her entire household hobbies in aquariums - both fresh and saltwater. Above all she loves spending time with her children and husband enjoying the life they have built together.
